Yeah, not sure the marketing department and ad agency really thought through the potential interpretations of that ad.
I have a keen understanding of the deep psychology of marketing. I see all kinds of advertising that leaves me thinking the opposite of what I should be thinking. The Fiat commercial is a perfect example. ‘Girls and crabs’.. EVERY commercial is officially previewed in a special screening where all top management, etc., is present. What the hell were they thinking?
