Google really messed up YouTube. Google reallywants people to use their real names when posting comments or videos on YouTube. Even if you choose a different name for YouTube, you still need to link it to a Google+ account if you want to reply or comment. And any comments that were made pre-change cannot be replied to. But people can now post ASCII symbols in comments, so they're posting ASCII swastikas, genitalia etc. Way to go, Google. (sarc)

There are plenty of those. Bascially, they’re videos with an Arabic Nasheed (a capella song praising jihad) while some guys run an obstacle course in the desert or have target practice.

Judging by the fact that there are almost no comments about videos any more, and every comment thread has been spammed with this:

I would say that the new comment format is not popular. You can down-vote a comment, but I have yet to see anything to confirm that the down votes actually register. The little spam reporting button is completely gone. I do not know what to do now if I need to report something offensive.
