The word Hero is often used casually in modern American Society. Occasionally, however, someone comes along who truly fulfills the meaning of the word.

Joan of Arc, I am sure, never planned to be the heroine* of the 100 years war.
And Emily Miller, on New Years Day, 2010, scared and angry, surely never gave thought to the notion that she would be soon hailed as a heroine of the gun rights and self defense community.

Kudos to Ms. Miller. I’ve followed her chronicles of the hurdles she had to jump to bring her desire to fruition. An astounding young lady. Glad she has the fortitude to deal with all the crap she had to deal with.
This is a book that every liberal should be forced to read in a reeducation camp. Conservatives on the other hand get a pass if they spend their time reloading instead of reading.
I envy Todd, well almost. My wife just hit me.
“Conservatives on the other hand get a pass if they spend their time reloading instead of reading.”
Uh, is it OK to spend SOME time reloading and SOME time reading? Just askin.
BTTT
The value in this book will be best realized by those that are not conservative, or by those that are not acquainted with firearms. I'll spend my time reloading instead of reading her book. I'll spend my non-loading time reading more advanced material. Don't get me wrong, I like Emily and I have followed her over the last year. It is great that she discovered firearms and the 2nd amendment. I just find the material in her columns to be redundant to everyday knowledge.
This book should serve as a wake up call to all gun owners to show how far we need to go yet. Kudos to Emily Miller on an excellent book.
