Don't Want A Health Plan? Her's Your Bill
Vanity | November 11, 2013 | Doc Savage

Just for the sake of argument let's assume you are 21 years old, very healthy and take excellent care of yourself. You're also very smart, single and, as self-employed, make $200,000 or more for the next 50 years. You're also very lucky. During those fifty years you never require the services of a doctor or hospital and you make a decision at age 21 never to get private health insurance or to sign up for Obamacare. What is the financial cost to your decision?

Unfortunately for you ($200,000 a year income, single) you are subject to the maximum Obamacare fine (excuse me Justice Roberts, tax penalty) of the cost of a Bronze plan (currently $5,000 per year) for the next 50 years, or approximately $250,000 in 'penalty taxes'.

Of course during the next 50 years the cost of a Bronze plan may well increase substantially so that it is conceivable your total 'penalty tax' over that period could possibly double to $500,000.

Now, because this is a hypothetical example, there may never be such a person. But if there is, and he or she makes a similar decision, they will incur a substantial cost for something they should have every right to avoid.

I believe that for high income earners you’re better off going with a Christian health ministries (CHM) or similar plan to gain an exemption. See below:

C.H.M. GUIDELINES IN A NUTSHELL

C.H.M. is not insurance but rather a Major Medical faith-based cost sharing ministry.

Once your Personal Responsibility is satisfied C.H.M. pays 100% of the remaining balance up to $125,000 per need.
Bills less than $500 will always be your personal responsibility.

GOLD - $500 Personal Responsibility per person annually
a) any condition requiring diagnostic testing
b) any condition that creates a hospital bill
c) $150 p/p - per month - $450 for family of 3 or more.

SILVER - $1000 Personal Responsibility per incident
a) any condition that creates a hospital bill
b) $85 p/p - per month - $255 for family of 3 or more.

BRONZE - $5000 Personal Responsibility per incident
a) any condition that creates a hospital bill
b) $45 p/p - per month - $135 for family of 3 or more.

Brothers Keeper members receive an additional $100,000 per incident benefit which increases by the same amount each year until a one million dollar per incident level is reached. As of 3-15-2013 GOLD BK members have limitless upper level benefits.($140.00 per unit annual cost estimate)

As of May 1st new bills for pre-existing conditions will be shared on a three year limited basis plan. Our monthly Prayer Page will assign needs above the new limited amounts to a specific number of members who share voluntarily until your total need is met.

C.H.M. is authorized to operate in all 50 states. Overseas medical bills are also cared for.

WE knew this was coming. Cuz FR’s readers’ heads are on their shoulders, not in their anal passageway, like most Americans.

WE knew, but nobody cared.

We do know the IRS was supposed to hire 15,000 attorneys and accounts to administer this.

As the years go by, it will be interesting to watch.

Today student loans, tomorrow accumulated Obamcare taxes.

No 21 year-old is worth $200k/yr. Just saying.

I was about to echo that thought. So if a 21 year old is worth that much since I am 2.5 times as old I should be worth $750,000? Right?

None of this is about health care.

It’s about government control, fines, fees, penalties and taxes....Government wants more and more of your money.

Government wants total control over everything.

No joke.

Yes and it's worth noting you can no longer avoid paying your student loan bills by declaring bankruptcy.

I imagine it will work the same for Obamacare fines.

There will be a progressive “relief” for the student loan problem.

When the Death Panels start in earnest and the kiddos get uneasy about granny’s early demise, the regime will use Groupon to send them student loan forgiveness chits.

The fine would not be $5K until 2016, and after 2016 it “adjusts for cost of living increases”. Whatever that means...

If they have a following that is earning others millions per year, then IMO they are worth whatever they can get. That Bieber kid. What’s he make a year? $50 million or whatever. He brings a lot of money into the entertainment industry and he deserves his share.

Our opinions differ. It just proves what P.T. Barnum said, “there is a sucker born every minute.”
