Sacha Baron Cohen left the audience at an LA movie awards ceremony in stitches at the weekend with another outrageous prank.
The Borat and Ali G funnyman was on stage at the BAFTA-LA Britannia Awards to collect the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy -and decided to prove he was a worthy recipient there and then.
He was introduced by Judd Apatow and a series of clips of Charlie Chaplin was shown, including scenes with his "oldest living co-star" Grace Colington.
SBC then pushed a wheelchair-bound Colington onto the stage, to an enthusiastic response from the audience.
He then accepted a Chaplin-inspired cane from the elderly woman, before launching into a dance routine - which ended in disaster as he accidentally tipped her wheelchair over the edge of the stage.
The audience gasped in shock, but then laughed as it became apparent that the "old woman" was really a stunt performer and that Baron Cohen was pulling another of his famous pranks.
He then said: "Grace Colington is the oldest - Sorry, was the oldest - I dedicate this award to her. This is obviously a tragedy, but on the bright side what a great way to go: giving an award to me!"
There were also awards for George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ben Kingsley and Kathryn Bigelow - among others.

And in Hugo.
Loved him in Sweeny Todd to and he would have made a great Freddie Mercury.
And I’m offended by you calling people with disabilities “cripples”.
i resemble that! actually i was being sarcastic. i guess some people might find it preferrable to injure or kill then (how funny!) than to use a epithet that might wake some people up.
I was only kidding. It’s not often I get to join ranks with the eternally offended.
True,I forgot about that one.
i read your sarcasm with a smile. i am hardly permanently offended, but i am offended at the concept that a disabled person’s injury is funny.
we may disagree, but im sure you accept my right to voice my opinion as much as i respect your right to voice yours.
LOL
