It is the disrespect for the police IMO that caused most of this.
Why ram a cop car and rev and engine when asked to turn it off? A different generation of people would have listened to the officers and not had a hissy fit to death.
I don't know, maybe because you're angry, upset and not thinking clearly? "Ramming" a police car sounds serious but could have been something as simple as trading paint on the doors during the chase.
Why shoot the driver of a stopped vehicle? Lots of other options - try blocking it in. Shoot out the tires and engine first (rather than the driver)... If these cops are too afraid to do their jobs properly, resorting to shooting suspects as a first option, then they ought to find another line of work.
Yeah. Right. A quartet of Keystone Kops, in spite of being asked to pull back, bully the KID into a full-blown chase, endangering God knows how many and shooting the cornered kid down -- you saw in the video how the cop cars had rammed his truck -- until he was dead, to boot.
The "police" -- thugs with badges chasing down a "bad boy" -- earn contempt. You wonder that people "disrespect the police." The video confirms this sad true story of gung-ho gang cops with an authority complex who believe in insisting -- even at the price of endangering dozens of innocents -- that they be respected, dammit, because they're the law!
The chase and the death were entirely the cops' responsibility. The kid was endangering no one until he perceived the cops moving in.
