Don’t be so harsh. I’m a Palin supporter myself and yes, it’s true. So many people have negative comments about her. It’s mostly women too. My sister and her family are totally lock stepped into the whole Obama/Liberal zeitgeist, having been at a dinner with them, not one of the women had anything good to say about her. My brothers wife, a Christie Republican has nothing good to say about her.

Meh... There's some ignorance in every family. Welcome to the club.

Yes, I notice women seem to have more of a problem with Sarah.

I was just being a little harsh because I saw the same postings on quite a few Sarah threads recently.

Saying the same negative comments once or twice is fine, but don't go trashing her on many threads.

I too, have dealt with people, supposedly on the conservative side, who have negative opinions about Sarah Palin. When asked about what specific thing turns them against her, I was shocked. They come back with the stupid comment that "she can see Russia from her kitchen window." When I tell them that was Tina Fey's comic spoof of Sarah in a Saturday Night Live routine, they ask, "But didn't Sarah Palin really say that?" When I tell them that it is totally false, they still seem unconvinced. Then, I tell them that if they go to Little Diomede Island, which is part of the United States and look over two and a half miles away, you can see Big Diomede Island, which sits in Russian territory. Then they look amazed and admit they were totally ignorant of the geography up there.

If you exclude the Island reality, Russia's mainland is 50 miles from Alaskan mainland. When you consider that Rhode Island, at its greatest length, is 48 miles, the distance between Alaska and Russia is not that great. In reality, Russia's proximity to Alaska is of great strategic importance and a big responsibility to an Alaskan governor.

The main point here is that people have made their judgements on Sarah Palin based upon some very stupid perceptions. Too many Americans are too busy to be informed about the facts.
