"Wow that's pretty disturbing," said recent University of Tampa graduate of Criminology studies Carley Donovan about a post made to Facebook Tuesday night by Fire Bar and Grill in Tampa.
"I read it and I was like, ‘No, that can't be right.’ It's almost advocating for men preying on drunk women."
The post, which has since been deleted, read "Ladies night at Fire tonight. Ladies get $2 martinis and $3 wines. Guys get drunk ladies." The post was followed by a wink-face emoticon.
Donovan took offense and said the post sends a terrible message. "Sexual violence is a prominent problem in our society and not to be taken lightly and something we need to take steps to reduce," she said.

That’s what ladies’ night is all about.
That’s the implied message in EVERY bar that has a Ladies Night.
You're right, sweetie. I suggest you take steps such as not going out and getting drunk with strange men who are looking to hook up with drunk women.
Get some wine at the grocery store, and go home and drink with your pets while reading some classic literature.
I never dated much in my 20’s but even I knew that was the way to score.

They inadvertently omitted the comma after the third word — it was just a public service announcement to the women, warning them that they might indeed find some inebriated men at the bar, that’s all ....
I used to work with the reporter. She’s hot...won Miss University of Florida.

Isn’t it king of dishonest to pretend that “ Guys get drunk ladies.” isn’t the point of All ladies nights, or for that matter all bars and alcohol in general.
In every episode of Bar Rescue, John Tapper goes on and on about how the owners need to get more women in the bar, because that will cause more men to come, and get their profits up.

No one is forcing the gals drink, their choice.

I’m surprised “Ladies night” (where they drink free) has passed legal muster; I believe it was shot down in south Jersey after a guy challenged it. As a married old man, nothing sours me on a bar more than the men coming to hunt drunk sluts (I like “old man” bars, and always preferred them since I was in a steady relationship). When guys want to unwind with pool, darts, a game on TV, or a good jukebox, dealing with youngsters (and increasingly immature oldsters) can be trying...
