Hers is not a new rationalization. It’s been said before that those who are truly pro-life end their concern for babies after they’re born, while the murderers like Davis are very compassionate toward babies after they’re born, with support for unlimited welfare and so on.
It’s telling that the killers have to go to such lengths to justify their murders that they construct nonexistent straw men to argue that abortion is actually an act of compassion, while in reality, it’s murder based on (children’s) voter suppression.
