Latest on some possible 2014 rules changes: NASCAR has been looking at new technical rules to tweak the cars for 2014. A mid-December test at Charlotte Motor Speedway, yet another NASCAR test there, should help set things. NASCAR is now expected to bring the ‘tapered spacer’ to the Cup series, to try to take 90 horsepower out of these 900 horsepower engines. NASCAR has tested a roof ‘wicker,’ running left-to-right, designed to disturb the air; that design was used some 10 years ago, briefly, but it appears the sanctioning body is rejecting that change. NASCAR will be using larger rear spoilers next season. And NASCAR is expected to add some holes in the rear bumpers, to vent under-car air flow.(MikeMulhern.net)(11-7-2013)

Actually we lost it before we left. Seriously.
Don’t feel left out...us too. We got dumpsterobamad and the new AFFORDABLE plan is 2X as expensive and I estimate 1/6 the coverage or wose due to the huge deductible of $6K. I can’t get the same plan as our old plan, but the closest is 4X as expensive and 2X the deductible. Very Orwellian all this “affordable” health grab by ‘0bummer. I wish them a “long and healthy life” by their Orwellian values.
Oregon was supposed to be the role model for accessing and signing up for the ACA and received a 91 million grant a couple of years ago to implement the on-line system. Guess what? Hasn’t worked from day 1. Now Oregon has announced that they are hiring at least 400 more people to process mail applications. I’m fervently hoping the ACA collaspses under its own weight. Our cost for the new policy (wife’s company) is a bit cheaper but the co-pays and deductibles are 4 x as much. IMHO the worst thing the Repub’s could do is agree to extend the individual mandate. Let it crash and burn sooner. I can’t wait til sign-up numbers come out!!!!

Had some warm days so just patchy snow. The ski areas have done well though. I can see the slopes of Eldora Ski Resort out of the window as I type. Looks like they have snow on all of the runs I can see.
