He certainly has the right to misrepresent it...just as others have the right to point out that he's incorrect. He has the rights of free speech and the freedom to exercise *his* religion but he has no right before the God of the Bible to intentionally misrepresent His viewpoint. There is higher court and a higher Judge than the American courts.

Just as one doesn't have the right before the God of the Qu'ran to be an infidel, either...which is why we should be grateful for freedom of religion in this country, as opposed to the horribly oppressive theocracies of the Middle East.
