Dressed in Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman Halloween costumes.
A Massachusetts woman was reportedly fired after racially insensitive images surfaced online of her sons dressed as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for Halloween.
Caitlin Cimeno reportedly posted photos of her sons, William Filene and Greg Cimeno, with the caption: "Happy Halloween from Zimmerman & trayvon (insert smiley face emoji here)," according to a piece by Myeisha Essex at BlackAmericaWeb.
Following the outrageous post, members of the social media world not only tracked her down, but eventually also her employer, who told a caller that she no longer worked there, reports show.....

She was fired for promoting something her adult child did by using her own social media account to publicize it.
Poor judgement.
“Poor judgement.”
How is that related to her job?
Ah, the old "You're not perfect. You're fired"!?!?
Like engagingin homosexual “sex”?
All it takes is one complaint from a good-sized customer.
This is not an economy in which firms can afford to lose business due to easily-avoided mistakes.
Not all decisions enjoy the protection of federal law.
Pretty fine distinction. She still didn’t “do” it.
If she had never mentioned it, she'd still have her job.
If this kind of crap keeps up I’m going to have to rethink the usefulness of unions
“assinine”
Only one “S” in asinine. It is from the root latin word `asinus’ for “donkey” or “burro” and means donkey-like.

If you like your traditions, you will be able to keep your traditions. Period.
If you like your morality, you will be able to keep your morality. Period.
No one will take them away. No matter what
Why? Shouldn't companies have the right to be able to fire at will, instead of allowing employees who show poor judgement to stay on?
What in this shows poor judgment? Is bowing to PC now a requirement for remaining employed? This looks like a defiance of PC that the leftover hippies should be proud of, not something to be fired over. Anyone offended by this should have to fill out a “Hurt Feelings Report” and report to the boo-hoo room for a nice group hug. Now if she had dressed her kids as ohomo-clowns, off with her head!
Doesn't matter what I think.....If the company felt they'd rather not deal with the fallout, that's their business.
You are free to choose to boycott said company because of their actions.
It really makes you wonder, is Facebook worth it?
I think Facebook is a ticking bomb, sooner or later anyone can have a lapse in judgement forgeting that Facebook is not just about family and friends but that others are looking too.
