You maybe be right and until I read a 3 volume biography of LBJ by Robert Caro, I would not have an opinion one way or the other. Deep into the 3rd volume a light came on in my brain (I know I'm slow). LBJ was a driven man, he had to be POTUS, I mean he HAD TO BE POTUS!!!! The ONLY way he could get there is if JFK died in office. “When there a will there's a way!”

As much as I believe LBJ was driven and no doubt would enjoy the opportunity to off JFK, I think Oswald was just as driven to impress his Soviet heroes and did what LBJ no doubt enjoyed having done. I don’t think LBJ had anything to do with Oswald but we just didn’t see much from LBJ about JFK. It was almost as if LBJ was saying, “Well, that’s done. Let’s get on with my being President.”

Picture yourself as Nellie Connally. Would you allow your school aged children to be around a murderer? Would you let an evil man who very nearly killed your husband to sit at your dining table while you served him? If you were Lady Bird, would you be able to show your face in Nellie's house? The Johnson family and the Connally family were the closest of friends. Lyndon and John were best friends. Lady Bird and Nellie were best friends for years until the day they died. They bought lake homes right across from each other. On Friday afternoons, I watched the helicopters flying in and shortly after they'd be boating on the lake (renamed Lake LBJ to get him to build a bridge from the road by his house into Kingsland, TX). They'd have parties and were always at each other's homes. No, I have never believed one word that LBJ had anything to do with the assassination.
