Schools producing more dummies than ever?

A national effort to unify education standards across America and help American children compete more effectively with students in better-performing nations is actually a dumbing-down of America’s schools, takes away local control, handcuffs good teachers and opens the door for ideological manipulation of our kids.

Common Core was developed in recent years as a means of establishing nationwide learning standards, and the vast majority of states signed on, even before the standards were spelled out. And critics of the plan say the emerging reality of Common Core is far different from what was promised.

More mindless automatons voting for the bid D that will take care of them from cradle to grave. There are still a lot of smart kids out there that don't fall for this crap with the proper guidance. Sadly, they're outnumbered by the ones that do fall for the repetitive indoctrination they get. Just watch some of the "man on the street" clips of some of the no/low info voters out there. After all, it looks like deblasio is gonna be the next mayor of nyc. Ya get what ya vote for.

Sometimes I think they’d literally jump off a bridge or cliff to keep somebody else from doing it. At the same time though, a lot of them will attempt the stupidest stunts I have ever seen or heard about.

People have to get out there and vote in every local and state level educational position there is and that includes university elections where applicable.

Nothing bothers me more than knowing how few conservatives bothered to vote in those elections last time around.

Aside form one commie history teacher who was using Howard Zinn’s book (which his students mainly scoffed at), I used to look at the kid’s books when I coached HS baseball for thee seasons. For the most part I was satisfied with the curriculum. I thought the school’s administration were the really screwed up element in their overall educational picture. Such as the one’s who would even have approved the use of Zinn’s “book”.

A lot of, if not most administrators have never even set foot in a classroom, except in college, or to “evaluate” those who actually teach.

Admittedly the quality of education is a huge problem today. But I can’t help but think that a lot of the root could be gotten at by requiring administrators to have spent a few years in the classroom actually teaching, before they can step into the lofty atmosphere from where they’d otherwise look down on those who are actually suppose to make things work.

One of the goals of Common core is to educate kids "just enough" to enable them to maybe make it into a community college, but not be able to make it into a four-year college. You know, Common Core accepts that all those students who can't do basic math and cannot really write a paragraph or a simple three page paper are a real drag at those four-year colleges. Let the community colleges handle them. Leave the four-year colleges for the elite students.

This is detailed planning which incorporates incompetence as it's base.

The ultimate goal of Common Core and Obamacare is to prepare us all to accept their Marxist paradise, whether we like it or not.

Schools don't produce dumb kids. Dumb feral unmarried teens at the school produce dumb kids. The school just provides a convenient meeting place for them away from responsible adults.

Kids born into such a situation are much more easily influenced by the state, however.

Here’s an example. From a UC Davis horse study:

Guess what? Horses prefer shade on hot summer days. And if they don’t get it they drink more water.

This is not a joke, folks.

Where do I submit my grant application? There’s lots of wild horses in the Reno area that I could study to show how they search out shaded areas when it gets a little toasty out. Or search out some of that thirst quenching water.

Issuing condoms, sending out overweight notices and feeding Moo slop is more important than the 3Rs.
