You can use it as an Opportunity to pass Good Gospel KJV Tracks. Give that and a Pencil to each kid(or teenager).

Good plan. You'll only have to do that one year. Word will spread and you'll never get another trick-or-treater again.

Pretty much the same boat. Rural home, don’t expect any trick-or-treaters. I’ve got some candy bars on hand just in case so I’ll be watching the ballgame and waiting till I’m certain there won’t be any kids coming buy. Then I get to eat the candy myself.

I’m on door duty while the Mrs. takes our three critters out trick-or-treating. No idea what we’ll get for traffic - anywhere from 10 to 100 kids.

Lights out, shades down, poodles on tranqS

We used to get a hundred kids , if we got thirty these days, I’d be surprised.

I always get stuck eating all the leftover candy. Evil me. :-)

Though it’s pretty much how I see Christmas and Easter, at least as they are celebrated in the modern American Culture.

We ignore all three, although we provide overnight secure shelter for any homeless black cats in the neighborhood on Hallowe'en.. :-)

We had well over a hundred at our old house, which was in a more suburban neighborhood. It was fun, but I’m fine with this, too.

And if that will save one Kid(or adult) from Hell’s Gates, then it will be worth it!

All Hallows Eve or Halloween is really the vigil eve to the feast of All Saints, a Roman Catholic holy day on November 1.

Here is an interesting article:

No kids here, and we rarely get trick or treaters, so I’ll probably just figure it out tomorrow.

We live in the country too, but we love Halloween.

We didn't get any trick-or-treaters the first couple of years, but now we put up a 'haunted maze' every year.

We'll be entertaining, providing fun childhood memories, and passing out candy to hundreds of local kids.

My daughter used to date a cop. I still have a roll of that yellow "police line, do not cross" tape which he gave me. I am going to rope off the front door with that tape, turn out the lights and retreat to the basement to do some work.

I'm still debating over whether to add a "Closed due to Obamacare" sign.

I live in a bad neighborhood where you don't open the door for strangers, small or large, even on Halloween. I am fortunate that my property has many steps to the front door and most urban yutes are too lazy to climb them.

Wow, never KNEW the Cards were cheating throughtout the playoffs! Was paying more attention to the playoffs going on between Boston and Detroit. Detroit plays really, really tough baseball, but do not cheat.

Have you noticed since game 3 ended, the Red Soxs have GOTTEN, really, really TOUGH themselves against the Cardinals? Unlike the LA Dodgers, the Red Soxs having dealt with seeing their beloved Boston attacked by terrorists this year and coming back from a previous season that was just awful, they are TAKING NO GARBAGE from St. Louis.

Boston ends it tonight in 6 games.

I think the Boston home fans tonight will make the Cards fans look like Pacifists. LOL

Passing out candy and a can of sliced beets. Years ago as a joke I offered candy or, as an option, a can of beets. To my amazement, one kid chose the beets. I have offered the beets every year since and there is always one kid who takes them. The kid apparently likes beets.
