At $5, a Little Caesar’s pepperoni pizza may provide a lot of caloric bang for the buck, but I almost always feel dirty after eating one.

Finally! Someone has developed a solution, so human beings no longer have to be punished with eating food!

-——Soylent resembles watered-down oatmeal. Unflavored, it tastes sour and wheaty, with a wan viscosity that gives off the impression of having already passed through someone else’s body.——

Wow....that is quite the endorsement....not....

I wonder what makes this different from meal replacement drinks....besides the fact the MR drinks can actually taste ok and not like something already eaten and passed thought any person bowels...

Soylent is aggressively nourishing: It coated my tongue, charged down my throat, and engaged in pitched battle with the lasagna already occupying my stomach. Rhinehart’s ideological war on real food raged literally, nauseatingly in my gut, and Soylent lost this particular skirmish. I only managed a few gulps from a pint glass before dumping the rest down the drain.

Sounds like the ultimate 30 day nightmare diet

Frankly, I like the concept. I’m not really a ‘foodie’ in any form. I eat to live, not live to eat. If they could come up with something that was reasonably tasty, I could deal with it.

Someone needs to introduce this man to my wife's fried chicken. If you can't get enjoyment out of eating, you are wasting a huge portion of your life.

I'm getting images of Scrooge and his bowl of thin gruel here.
