When a Nazareth teenager showed up with $200 to buy marijuana from two men on a borough street Thursday night, the men took the money, pointed a gun at the boy and ran, police said.
Carnell R. Long, 20, of the 100 block of Farmview Road, Nazareth, and Kory Kirchhofer, 18, of the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue, Nazareth, were charged Friday with robbing the 17-year-old boy.
Long and Kirchhofer robbed the boy about 8:45 p.m. at South Green and Park streets, according to the police arrest affidavit.
Long took the boy's money and told him he'd be back in a moment with the pot, police said, but then Kirchhofer pulled out a black pistol, aimed it at the boy and threatened to shoot him.
Kirchhofer then ran off to catch up with Long, police said.
Later Thursday night, the teen went to Nazareth police headquarters with his parents to report the robbery, police said. An investigation led three Nazareth police and one Tatamy officer to Kirchhofer's Lincoln Avenue home, police said.
As they talked with other residents of the house, police heard noise from the basement, where they found Long and Kirchhofer on a couch and arrested them, police said. Police said they also found $50 in the couch.
Long was taken directly to the police station, but Kirchhofer was taken first to a borough garage, where Kirchhofer showed where he hid his pistol, under a pile of leaves, police said.

Sounds good all around. Two pot dealing crooks arrested, and a teenager taught that maybe it isn’t a good idea to get involved with pot, or carry large wads of cash around. Although whether he will learn his lesson is perhaps doubtful.
If you can’t trust your drug dealer who can you trust?
What’s this world coming to when you can’t trust an unknown drug-dealer any longer???
The kid was lucky. Watching 48 hrs I have seen them killed for less. At least he is alive and no “series” injury.

And (and) (and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
Crazy Chester followed me and he caught me in the fog
He said, “I will score you pot if you’ll kiss Jack, my frog”
I said, “Wait a minute, Chester, you know I’m a peaceful man”
He said, “That’s okay, boy, won’t you feed him when you can”
Yeah, take a load off, Fanny

Take a load off, Fanny
And (and) (and) you put the load right on me
(You put the load right on me)
Catch a cannon ball now to take me down the line
My bag is sinkin’ low and I do believe it’s time
To get back to Miss Fanny, you know she’s the only one
Who sent me here with her regards for everyone
Take a load off, Fanny
Take a load for free
Take a load off, Fanny
And (and) (and) you put the load right on me

If it was my kid he would be grounded for a long time and his backside would hurt.

And it ain't even the right lyrics...
Why do you think they call it “dope”?
Nope - I didn’t catch that until a second read. I kinda like ‘em though ‘;)

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Since when does a 17 yo tell his parents he was robbed buying drugs? Since when do parents tell the cops their legal age to be tried as an adult kid was buying drugs? Since when do cops not arrest drug buyers?
Lie down with dogs, you get fleas.
There is a Lincoln Ave. in Nazareth in the Middle East??
