I dont think you are exactly following the authors point....nor mine in response. Or are you telling me that govt workers, even libertarians, always vote Dem 100%?
Because that was the authors assumption.....and it was only that assumption that I was objecting to. If you will read, I think you will find that I am in general agreement with the thesis...to a degree.....just not to the degree the author posits.
The author is saying that NEITHER party is dealing with mathematical reality. As a government worker it was ‘safe’ to vote R or L or not at all because the MAJORITY voted D and always will. They will NEVER bite the hand that feeds them. NEVER. Until one of the major parties stands up and tells the truth regarding mathematical fiscal realities(they won’t)the nation is headed for economic collapse. One supports the status-quo by continued contributions to the system and in effect supports the coming mathematical crap storm or one ‘protests’ in a nonviolent way by not contributing. I understand perfectly, do you?
