Well there you go. I might not like using the wrap though.
I am thinking in terms of a ceramic or steel cup that would fit inside the wide mouth thermos. Pour the boiling water in, place the egg cup inside and the lid and let er cook.
Think I’ll replace the olive with some cranberries LOL.
that’s diabolical!
there are an amazing number of videos on youtube on survival skills
if you’ve never skinned and dressed a deer you should watch some
also videos on dressing rabbits, chickens, etc.
making fire
lots of good things to learn- I don’t watch much regular TV anymore - too much cool stuff to learn
Try it at home, and see how it works for you, and what stuff works best and easiest is what I would do. Then do the easiest ones at work.
I like your idea better.
Mom used to poach eggs using a large serving spoon. She’d hold the egg in the spoon in the boiling water, and it actually did hold together fairly well. As a kid, I thought it was gross, but now in my waining years I have found the wisdom in it.
I know that wouldn’t work for the thermos, but in a pinch, you could put in the egg and use a strainer to get the goodie out when the cooking is done. Could try putting egg in first, then gentle pouring the water over it to let it solidfy its edges.
Or alternatively, depending on the size of your thermos mouth, you could just put the eggs in, shell and all, and let it be a soft boiled egg.
ROFL!!! I believe I’d vote for that one too! LOLOLOL!
Or just try a little egg drop soup ala thermos. Add some boullion and seasoning to boiling water. Scramble the egg a bit, drop it into the thermos, put on the lid, and shake, rattle, and roll.LOL
Depending on how it plays out, I’ll either grill mahi mahi on my sailboat a thousand miles from here, or, buy another kabob from the Chiang Mai street vendor.
Now, THAT SOUNDS GOOD!!!!
