I can't stand that song.

Sting did a good version for the remake, IMHO.

I was intrigued the first time I heard it and discharged it as bubblegum music thereafter.
Always turned it off or changed the channel

Always reminds me of the original “Thomas Crowne Affair”

It’s even worse when “Alfie”, or anything by the Association is played right after.

I remember the song, but I didn’t remember that Noel Harrison was the singer.
I remember him as Mark Slate, the partner of April Dancer in “The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.”

It preceded BS&T’s “Spinning Wheel” by a year.

Rex Harrison’s son was 79? How old was Rex? I thought he just died, but I looked...and Rex died in 1990. Where has the time gone?

In the dictionary that song is next to the definition of "
Fey."

I like 60’s pop songs but Windmills of Your Mind is pretty bad.
This thread is the first time I have heard of or heard the song. I can’t remember hearing it on the radio back in the day. Either the radio stations I listen to didn’t play it or I have blocked it out of my memory.

May he rest in peace, and may that song rest with him.

Rest in peace, Noel.
I think it is a great song, but not one to listen too too often.
This version is very good, and much more listenable:
Dusty Springfield’s version of The Windwmills of Your Mind

I always associate it with "MacArthur Park" -- two stoned out, hippie mega-anthems from the same time period.

I like Windmills, but Mr. Harrison recorded A Young Girl, which is truly a dreadful song.

I can't stand that song. What, the words? I never really listened to the words but I think the melody is pretty. Very 60s. Brings me back in time......
