The long-running game show Jeopardy featured an entire category on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last night. The category was popular as it was the first one chosen in the round. The answers in the category included missionaries, the Tabernacle, Marion Romney, Joseph Smith and Deseret Industries. Every contestant who was asked a question got it right.

If you don’t think Marxism hinders men’s souls, you’re deluded.
Mormonism, as I said clearly is anathema to classical Christian practice. Of course so is Marxism.
Mormonism, though, doesn’t destroy man’s freedom here and now, whereas Marxism DOES destroy the practice of any economic or religious freedom that doesn’t involve worship of the state.

Mormonism, though, doesnt destroy mans freedom here and nowYou don't know much about mormonism. A tyrannical religion (cult) is no different from a tyrannical government, except the victims believe their victimhood makes them "special" and above others.

Nope. People are more free in Utah than they are in North Korea.
Saying Marxism is better than Mormonism (which provoked my latest post) is moronic.

People are more free in Utah than they are in North Korea.Of course, for this to be completely true -- beyond the socio-political/economical components -- you've got to...
(a) completely ignore the Bible;
(b) completely ignore Jesus;
(c) completely ignore the apostle Paul...
...none of which I would advise...
...would you, SoFlo?
Jesus talked to the Pharisees about being in bondage to sin (John 8); the apostle Paul covered this same thing at length in Romans 6.
Jesus and Paul also described this bondage with the severity of equivalence to being "dead"...Jesus saying in Luke 9 to let the (spiritually) dead bury the (physical) dead...and referenced the Pharisees in Matthew 23 as resembling sepulcres on the inside...and the apostle Paul added:
2 As for you, you were DEAD in your transgressions and sins,.. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were DEAD in transgressions. (Ephesians 2:1,4-5)
Mormons are the leading legalists of our day -- of the equivolency of the Pharisees of Jesus' time...
