According to this
history of the 32nd Division in World War II , from
16 to 30 October 1943 the 32D Division was moved from Australia back to New Guinea. At Milne Bay and Goodenough Island they continued their training and prepared for future combat operations.
Unlike its first trip to New Guinea, this time the entire Division, to include its much needed artillery, ultimately all of its heavy weapons would be allowed to make the trip.
