Slight Vanity: Dust Yourselves Off, Guys
10/16/2013 | Me

Okay, guys.

Today was a bad day for us. No getting around the facts. It was the biggest gutting since the Kenyan scored a second term.

In New Jersey, a senate seat that looked possible went to Corey Booker by about 10 points. Regards to Steve Lonegan. Excellent man who did better than he had any right to. He worked tirelessly against all the odds. Props too to Levin, Palin, and Rand Paul for campaigning on his behalf. Krispy was absent yet again.

This loss is hugely overshadowed by the complete collapse of the GOP in Washington. It was a rout. A surrender of epic proportions. Obama called the GOP's bluff and he played it the Chicago way, demonize and then demonize some more. I think we all owe a huge debt of gratitude to our guys who fought and fought against tremendous pressure until it was clear we had lost. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee principally, and those who had the courage to vote with them in the senate. Paul, Rubio, Risch, Scott, Crapo. Fischer sold out in the end, God knows why. Cornyn, you are not fooling ANYBODY. PERIOD......... I'd also give my best to Inhofe, who is recovering from surgery. He's a good soldier. The display of betrayal here on Freerepublic against Cruz after he declined to whistle past the graveyard was shameful, and whoever the idiot was who was leading that charge should be banned. Cruz is the most loyal man in the senate, and the best senator we've had in decades.

I also praise patriots in the House. Steve King, Paul Broun, Louie Gohmert, and many others. They gave Boehner the spine for the weeks we held out.

I have nothing but absolute condemnation and CONTEMPT for three groups who stabbed us in the back. This was not only an epic surrender, but it capped off an epic betrayal, a modern day night of the long knives.

1) Pundits. Krauthammer, Karl Rove, all of the traitors who pretend to be conservative. I have HAD IT with these bastards. They aided the Democrat media from square 1.

2) House RINOS. Peter King is an enemy of the state. His vile attacks on Ted Cruz warrant a censure. His entire cabal needs tough primary challengers in 2014. Schock, Riggel, all of them. Get these bums out!

3) Senate RINOS. I hold these a&&holes more responsible than anyone for this catastrophe. Bob Corker, John McShame, Linda Gayham, Kelly Ayotte. This is THEIR LAW! I am all in to support Graham, Cochran, and Alexander's primary opponents. 2014 is the time to break records for unseating incumbents in primaries. REMEMBER their treachery.

Now, I save this special section for last, because there is one particular senate RAT who I blame more than any other. As vile and maggot-filled as John McCain is, he barely pretends to be a Republican anymore. No, the real architect behind this entire disaster result. None other than Mighty Mouse B*tch McConnell. This HACK has been around for decades as a man behind the curtain, manipulating the RINO herd to his (the Democrat's) liking. He engineered the sabotage of Cruz and others. He even betrayed Boehner to some degree, all for a big Kentucky kickback package as we have learned. As awful as Boehner is, McConnell is WORSE. HE... MUST... GO! Matt Bevin deserves all the support we can give him.

With all this said, come on guys. It's time to pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off, and get ready for the next fight. You don't get a bloody nose and a knife in the back, then go home. You put on the brass knuckles and say "was that it?" Obamacare is a disaster. The economy is a disaster. Our foreign policy is a disaster. We're not done fighting this punk Obama yet.

The GOPe may surrender like the French, but we sure as hell don't!

Yes, that thing that people don’t like to contemplate will always happen. There is not way to stop it. It’s a constant in nature.

That is why the first thing you have to worry about is saving yourself.
For, if you are dead, you are no use when conflict does start.

“No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.”

George S. Patton

And you also don’t win a war by dying before the war even starts. Because, when conflict does start it would be preferable if your side outnumbered the enemy.

It would be preferable, but not necessary.

Numbers do not win wars. Will and resolve win wars coupled with the blessings of The Lord.

You needn’t worry about the kentucky doughboy. He just effectively announced his retirement. He’ll wait till next spring/summer to actually announce it of course, but you pretty much got your confirmation.

Watch him spend the next year in office collecting money for his PAC, making lucrative book deals, and getting his office on K street decorated.

It’s expensive because the government got involved in it in the first place.

Get the government out of the business of healthcare, and truly make it market-driven, and the costs will go down.

But that means that the government has to concede some power, can’t have that now, can we?

The problem is, way back then America had lots and lots of manufacturing.

Now, we have sent so much manufacturing to China.

We need to bring back American manufacturing now.

Because there is no other step. American healthcare is an expensive, unreliable mess right now.
I'm wondering if imposing yet *more* govt on the healthcare industry/market as well as the insurance industry/market is the answer. Can we just once try getting govt *out*? Eliminating regulations, quit subsidizing, let the market stand on it's own?

I'm not so sure anyone needs to come up with a different scheme. I'm more comfortable with gaining a majority in both houses and immediately start repealing just about *everything* from FDA regs for food & drugs to eliminating entire agencies from BATFE to Dept of Ed, Energy, Interior, etc. As far as those "marketplace" environments, let them police themselves -- especially Agriculture.

And here's a security/enforcement example: Why do we need the TSA? I know that our society as a whole consists a huge majority of wusses who always look to "someone else" to solve their problems for them, but I can not imagine any scenario where if someone tried something on a plane in today's world, where two or more other passengers wouldn't take care of the problem. I would almost dearly love for some gomer to try something on one of my flights. So, why do we need the TSA?

Don't get me started. I just think we need FAR LESS govt; not more. Of course, other opinions will likely vary.

We are arrived at a point as illustrated by history - that the ONLY recourse left us is going to require that which few to none will even allow themselves to contemplate. But that time is upon us.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. It is not a pleasant thought at all.
