An iconic Michiana company is closing.
Tuesday, FOX28 talked with owners of the Bonnie Doon plant and downtown Mishawaka location. They tell us there are many reasons for the shutdown such as the declining economy and the rise in production costs. But the number one factor? The anticipated cost of the Affordable Care Act.

And as article after article states how “flawed” the ACA computer system is and how “they need to iron out the glitches”, the White Hut celebrates!! The destruction of small business and the American worker has begun. No flaws. No glitches. Just destruction.
It’s also going to take a lot of cash out of the economy. No more extra spending money available to me , no new cars, no vacations, eating out will now be only on special occasions. I am not alone on this. I will be out of 300/month due to zero care increase ( with less coverage) .

Me too! Last year I took my daughter there when we were in town for a visit, and it was really sad how rundown it was! The ice cream wasn’t as good as it used to be either. They have been cutting corners for a long time and Obummercare was the last straw.
Long since sold to Unilever.
