I remember an interview years ago with a male ref in Roller Derby.
He said he had his skull fractured a number of times and was bitten, kicked in the slats, etc. while reffing the woman’s matches.
He said they were worse than the men.
Sorry, I had to go get some ice.
I was watching the fights one time and a hockey game broke out.
it’s part of the game, period.
ff
Were the Hanson sisters involved?
I played hockey for 20 years and loved the fighting.

they are worse than men. it’s just a mytth.
i would change redskins, okay, but i will only change the name to foreskins.
US player runs Canada Goalie and turtles after being challenged. Both teams come in to discuss and two individuals get a little animated. Would be interested to see how penalties shook out. However if I was the US player that ran the goalie and turtled I would definitely increase my on ice awareness the next time the teams meet.

are you saying they’re worse than men?
One thing I will say about officiating women’s hockey. They are way more creative with trash talking and insults to opposing players than guys ever will be. Some of the things I have heard on the ice from the ladies REEEOOOOOOWWWEEERRR They also can play the game....

If parts of uniforms were flying, then we need pics.
its standard, there’s no fighting allowed in IIHF competition, be that as it may, you and me both know as players there’s a code to be upheld, and this sorta thing doesn’t surprise us.
Doc Emrick could not have said it better.
