I think we know the fix is in! We all know most Republicans have no balls and will sell the American people short once again. How can we blame them? I am sure they are being coerced, wined and dined, bribed and god knows the NSA info is ripe for blackmail. It is broken, two parties have become big fat pigs, sucking off the trough so much, us peons no longer have a chance.
Together they ignore our needs and pass laws that just do us harm. They are in actuality corporations, neither pay taxes and they have control of 4 trillion in spending each year and never stop regulating us.
Even Obama knows Obamacare is already dead on arrival, it can't be fixed because it's already dead and buried. They will just keep on pretending.
We do win some battles but our army sucks, they are cowards! If we elect people who give a shit about short term polls and talking heads. we are doomed!
Only a new party will change the dynamics and give the people a chance. I am so done with these turncoats, they have abandoned the Constitution they swore to uphold.
Time for some real hope and change!
The “Tea Party” not an actual party has been the only glowing light and it’s not even an actual political party, a small percentage has had a massive effect. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? Since our founding we have had many parties, both are now broken beyond repair, I don’t know how anyone can see it differently?
Then on to the general election and a new conservative GOP will emerge, culminating in a clean sweep of the House, Senate, and the White House to restore America to it's rightful place as the worlds sole superpower.
Try harder.. Think about all of the differences in our party already.. The Tea Party is a fiscal Conservative base that captured the divisions within the whole party, by and large.. We social Conservatives are already divided into sub groups, but came together on big picture fiscal issues..
That combination worked in the 2010 election and worked miracles.. It can happen again, without fracturing the entire party on single issues.. It can be done but we are going to have to make some coalitions to do it again..
Work on that, for the 2014-16 cycles, not reinventing the wheel in 2, 3, or 4 elections..
And when they give him that, he will demand a total gun ban. And so on. And so on.
He does not care if America crashes completely; in fact, he's hopeful every city burns.
Then he gets to invoke the Emergency Powers Act and become King for Life.
If you are asking us to abandoning any social conservative position the answer is hell no. If you think that surrendering on issues and moving to the center wins election, say hi to Dole, McCain and Romney for me.
It’s time for We the People to rise above party, to principle.
An important portion of President George Washington’s Farewell Address:
“I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally.
This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.
It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government and serve to keep alive the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of a monarchical cast, patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party. But in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.”
Exactly my point, arthurus. Nice try at a smear, yldstrk.
No I am not suggesting that and I think you know that if you have been around here as long as I think you have.. What I am suggesting is the recruiting of our candidates, before the skunks sneak in as they have..
But we cannot expect to get right-wing purest in areas where they are dominated in blue districts, it just won’t work, and we will lose again and again.. And we can’t beat them up when they act accordingly, except on fiscal issues..
The Presidency is a whole different kettle of fish, and the morons like McCain, and Romney.. We had the right idea in 1995 with the Contract With America, a national referendum that everyone on our side understood, and if you recall it worked..

They couldn’t wait to cave, Obama said no. He wants more.
No Balls Boner has no backbone. Eventually he will cave. Ryan has been waving a white flag for the last week. Graham and McCain, if they could assasinate a bunch of their own party senators and get away with it, they would.
It’s ridiculous. This is what you get when too many of “your own” have no core beliefs they won’t sell out, and instead regard this all as “a game” and who can score the most political points on something. Instead of fighting bad ideas they just want to be in charge of implementing the bad idea.
It is sick. the country needs a massive reset. fedgov needs to be shoved back into the 10x10 swampy square on the potomac.
and by RESET I mean constitutional reset. No secret courts, No NSA, no more alphabet agencies under the president. No unelected czars. No TSA, no more brownshirts. No IRS. No fed reserve.
no executive orders allowing president God-like power over anything in this country.
Sorry, I cannot vote in my primary, because I am an independent. Why? Because the R’s in our area sell us out to the D’s for gerrymandering. The only thing they do is call on you for donations. And YES I was once a precinct captain for the GOP.
Also, I’m in Illinois, so listing yourself as a R is a very bad thing. Trust me.
As a business owner, I was several times told what my party affiliation was by union bosses, project managers, etc., and turned down jobs.
In my state, it is not good to be an R. If you want to run a business, that is, you WILL get audited, or whatever, depending on your contributions (we found a direct correlation between the two 20 years ago).
Soon, everyone will learn the Chicago way, when the Obamacare shit hits the fat. Registered R? No healthcare for you! Registered R? Extra audits for you!
Welcome the rest of the nation to the new world of Chicago. Coming to a theater near you.
