I will be out and about tomorrow afternoon, so I'm posting the discussion thread now.
I was also wondering if anyone else noticed (Considering that we’re all horror movie fans here) that the character, “Zack,” was played by the same actor who played, “Quintin,” in the, “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” remake.
I had not noticed that. Another good catch!
Zack is a fairly common name nowadays, but it might also be a nod to World War Z.
The actor who played “Patrick” (the kid who died in the shower) is the voice actor for the popular kids TV show “Phineas and Ferb”.
Yup. Caught that one, too.
I liked the World War Z movie as a stand alone movie, but it was nothing like the book. They could have gave it a different title and it would have worked great for them -leaving the book’s title open for a more accurate movie.
I would have loved to see The Battle of Yonkers on the screen.
I haven’t watched any TV for the last 5 years. I would not have recognized that reference. Sorry.
(Told the cable company to go to hell, and it felt GREAT)
I get TWD from iTunes. Season Pass.
DH is a huge fan of the WWZ books, but he hated the movie. I actually liked the movie, but it was nothing like the book. Like you, I would have preferred that they give it some other title.
Seeing the Battle of Yonkers on the big screen would have been awesome!
LOL! *groan*
My husband and I were discussing that today. He thinks it's the water. TWD tends to drop little clues, and they kept showing water....even in the first scene, when Rick splashed his face from the barrel.
Then there was the trailer for season 4, in which Herschel said, "You take a drink of water, you risk your life".....and Carol was shown bending down to take a drink from some source, with Rick yelling at her to stop (presumably).
I wouldn't put it past the governor to be dumping walker parts upstream.
We might still get the Battle of Yonkers. The original plan was a trilogy, then the production went off the rails. But then it made enough money that it would have been quite profitable on the original budget so they’ve green lit a sequel.
