I’d say not guilty, or at least eligible for a BJ Clinton post-POTUS pardon....

Interesting... her boost to fame was “create a story.” And she used You Tube to carry the story.

Being very photogenic and cute didn’t hurt of course :-)... I mean like there’s no lack of pianists on You Tube and some are pretty good, but most dwell on the keyboard. She showcases her pretty self as well.

Valentina is great! Watching her long, artistic finger dance on the keys is almost as soothing as the music.

Personally, video is normally an obstacle to classical tracks regardless of the performers’ appearance.

Starting two years ago, I began posting classical music at the FReeper Canteen on weekends, going through the total output of Brahms, Chopin, Rachmaninov and others. I combined YouTube videos with narrative drawn from biographies of the composers.

For Chopin, I found that this fine lady had YouTube videos of her playing the etudes, and I was able to link to them with explanatory essays.

YouTube has been a godsend in this effort.

I understand James Ehnes' issues, however. I count Jimmy and his wife Kate as two good friends, and I tend to side with Jimmy in issues like this. A performer wants perfection to be recorded. It's the nature of the business.
