I have one of those 10 X 12 fabric patio/gazebo things on my deck. They only last a couple of years before the fabric tears, or the frame starts failing. The directions always say "two persons"..especially because it requires holding things, and snapping other things onto it while up on a ladder.
I usually drink some beer before undertaking putting it up by myself so, I won[t worry about falling off the ladder, hurting my back, etc. I hate asking someone to help me as it's so nice to have a strong helper monkey, that then I wish I had someone to help me all the time.
BTW, I have "rescued" trapped squirrels that have gotten trapped in the mosquito netting curtains on it while the squirrel was escaping from a cat.

This one is just the net that goes over an outdoor umbrella and I used the aluminum frame of the umbrella but cut away the fabric so it’s just the aluminum frame with the net over it. The aluminum frame won’t fail. The net that makes the room was $25 so I’m hoping it will last several years, then I can replace it.
