Zero tolerance for youth and indiscretion.
The school couldn’t handle it on their own. They just had to thrust him into the legal system. Think twice before you put your kids into public schools run by administrators who’ll think of nothing of ruining your kid’s life.
Hope the SOB is happy.
public school is child abuse
Wow I did not know that. Being naked is in itself a sex offense? Wow, all that nude beach goers better watch it and I hope the cops are present when babies are born so they can immediately arrest those damn sex offenders.
you forgot your sarcasm tag
Zero Tolerance killed this child.
The imperious attitudes and hysterical over-reactions to mostly harmless student violations of some school rule that these ‘educators’ use to punish teens and even elementary school children demonstrates a serious problem in our public schools. Its bad enough that our children are not receiving a useful education. Worse yet, too many teachers and principals act like they were the Nazi Gestapo and our kids are fair game for any kind of punishment the ‘administrators’ feel like handing out. Even to the point of punishing little kids for ridiculous ‘offenses’ such as using their thumb and index finger to momentarily pretend its a ‘gun’. Meanwhile they can’t seem to get a handle on the ‘bullying’ problem in our schools. Perhaps because the real bullies are the administrators. This has to end.
He's probably too busy surfing Kiddy Porn sites to open emails right now...
There was a case a few years ago where this 18 year old black kid had oral sex by a 17 year old girl, and somehow the cops found out. To make a long story short he was sentenced to 5 years in jail and I believe he spent a few in jail until somebody in authority snapped out of their fascist/Muslim way of thinking and got him released. How insane is that? Can you imagine the mental hangups that kid is going to have when it comes to sex now? He’s going to be looking over his shoulder the rest of his life.
Last night my school had a choral program at which point one of the groups did a number with choreography where the kids pretended to shoot a gun... all 30 of them... at once. I kept waiting for someone to freak out...
That aside - I call this ‘institutional thinking’. Entire communities have abdicated their God-given rights to the state and believe that their every action is governed by said state. We call the police, arrest, punish and condemn people in ways that used to be handled simply and thoroughly in the confines of the household at best or the community at worse all without putting anyone in handcuffs or on a list.
Hell the whole thing is worse than putting someone in the stocks on the public square.
Meanwhile, Brown University is holding a “clothing-optional” week. Go figure.
A "legend"? What was so legendary?
A 22yo stopping an RPG round while taking out an insurgent before the dumb Hadji could kill a crowd of kids - now THAT'S legendary.
Once a person is on ‘the list’ of sex offenders for whatever reason, I don’t think they can be removed, unless the deciding case is somehow nullified. I hope I am wrong on this. Some folks make mistakes and do learn what not to do. The folks who learn their lesson should not be marked with a Scarlet Letter for the rest of their lives.
Some teens do silly things, but remain extremely sensitive to how they are viewed by their peer group. This Boy felt he had lost everything without any hope of redemption ever.
The schools would be slammed if they did not come down hard, but just like with the Hello Kitty “gun suspension”, schools need to reconvene, lighten up and start using common sense.
His dad use to work for our company so this hit close to home. It is a devastating story.
They should charge that bully principal with criminally negligent homicide (at a minimum).
We may be thinking of the same case. I believe this young man just got out of jail last year. He was a high achieving student, rhetorically shot down mid-flight. Once the bureaucracy machine gets’ flipped on, it’s hard to turn the process off. I would have to stave off bitterness for the rest of my life.

Deserves a repeat. Anti-bullying programs are designed by the bullies to consolidate power over their innocent, impressionable captives. The merciless and arbitrary punishments executed under zero-tolerance school policies serve as a window to the inner malevolent workings of the beast system as a whole.
Like what? I read the whole article and didn't see anything to suggest that he had any issues at all.
