It seems almost sacrilege that controversy over a new college football playoff system should be allowed to overshadow the last season of the controversial BCS.
The BCS deserves center stage as it takes its last walk down the halls of horror.
All this talk about whether Condoleezza Rice should be on a selection panel she has not yet been named to yet is a slap in the face to a BCS system that for 15 years has misfired more often than a Yugo.
The first BCS Standings will be released Oct. 20 -- that's only a week from Sunday.
Shouldn't we all be gearing up for those follies?

So, here’s the premise: BCS is being discontinued because it’s failed, but its final year results should be respected because it’s being discontinued as a result of failing?
