Tom Hanks Quips: Four More Years For Obama
By Cheryl K. Chumley-The Washington Times October 4, 2013
Conspiracy theorists, be on alert. Hollywood icon Tom Hanks may not have been joking when he said he wanted President Obama to run for a third term over the prohibitions of the Constitution.
Mr. Hanks, whos starring in the soon-to-be-released Captain Phillips and was in Washington, D.C., this week for a premiere showing at the Newseum, declared his choice for president for 2016: Mr. Obama, The Hill reported.
Im voting for Barack Obama, 2016, he said. Yes I am. Four more years.
Mr. Hanks reportedly laughed while speaking. But do a Bing search on Obama seeks third term, and the more than 2 million hits that come back reveal the notion is both widely discussed and widely reported. MSN, for instance, in August reported on an investor Porter Stansberry who claims the president is secretly planning a third term

“I wont by a ticket to one of his movies.”
I quit watching this jerk’s movies a long time ago.
yeah, I saw that. probably the last
Tom Hanks movie I did see (and
enjoyed).
how would you know that was better, though,
since the new one hasn’t opened yet?
LOL, careful.
isn’t he the same hypocritical actor who skipped out early on a movie shoot in NY because he wants to claim primary residence outside on NY, to evade the taxes?
I’ve always believed that successful actors in Hollywood had to tote the party line to remain successful.
Success in Hollywood is like a hallucinogenic drug. It is revealing to read stories of the many celebrities who go through bankruptcy, foreclosure, liquidation and see them talk to the press like they are still on top, and to industry insiders as beggars for one more deal.
When it comes to politics, celebrities will say whatever they think is wanted for them to say.
“You like Obama don’t you?”
“Why of course I do, I mean who couldn’t adore this incredible president?”
“Who you going to vote for in 2016 for president?”
“Obama!”
I would bet serious money that if Hollywood was controlled by conservatives, Hanks would be screaming for ‘Cruz Control in 2016!’.
I was talking about his directing and producing job in “Band of Brothers”.
I did like “Saving Private Ryan”...that was the last Oscar Awards I ever watched. When “Shakespeare in Love” won with best picture over “Saving Private Ryan”, that did it for me.
He was referring to my comment about how I liked his approach directing and producing “Band of Brothers”.
I don’t understand it. I can’t stomach watching anything with Morgan Freeman any longer— he was once one of my favorites.
I’m going to have the same problem with Hanks now. I’ve about had it with Hollywood .
Maybe people will start making their own movies on the net and push Hollywood down a few pegs.
So many of them I loved to watch but now they just make me sick. Demi Moore...gads!
Just another reason why I didnt bother watching “Gravity” I refuse to watch any garbage with liberal loons..Hey Hanks..did you sign up for Obamacare..oh yeah I forgot, you rich liberals are already exempt
Tom lives in the pretend world of actors where nothing is real.
The sad reality about these celebrities is that they have not come very far from the actions of another celebrity of his time.
Before he became infamous for his assassination of Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth was a celebrated actor who was able to open doors with a smile. He had an adoring public that treated him like royalty and was very much the original model of what we see today.
IMO, barak just won’t leave at the end of his term.
Leaving after his second term would be following the federal laws. Since when has he done that?
And who would force him out?
I saw it two weeks ago at a screening.
I go to movie screenings. However, I don’t see them all.
I knew Gravity was going to be terrible the moment I saw a title card stating do not tell anyone about it. It was the second one I ever saw in front of a movie. The previous one was horrible too.
Was thinking that while reading through the posts. When I read yours, a cold, cold shiver numbed my heart for a moment.
I NEVER liked Tom Hanks. Smug bastard that he is just like David Letterman and the rest of the Hollywood trash that have put America into the toilet while raking tens of millions of dollars.
wow-—that’s interesting.
thanks for the heads up-—’cause
i heard
“Gravity” got great reviews.
you, and this thread, saved me
some $$.
even the local sports bar owner is
a liberal...where to go for entertainment?
Scarey thought isn’t it? The way things are going, it even seems a likely outcome.
The left wants a dictatorship
It is as clear as a bell
Well yes, but the problem is so do the Republicans! They are just a light version of the current Democrats and they also want Control - especially the finances.
We the people are just the victims of their success, either party. We have gone past the point of party politics and have now entered the party of who controls and how they divvy up the goods.
