Here is what the local newspapers did not report about the mob of dozens of motorcycle riders who chased, stopped and beat the father of a young Asian family on a Sunday afternoon in New York City: One, the mob was black, says the police report. Two, this is merely the latest of several such examples of racial violence on wheels, witnesses say.
Except this one is on video. All six minutes and 27 seconds of it. Recorded on the helmet-cam of one of the members of the black motorcycle mob.
“The newspapers say it was a motorcycle gang,” said one veteran member of New York’s law enforcement community. “That makes you think it was a white gang, like the Hell’s Angels. But it was the total opposite.”
Cops busted the psycho biker who allegedly started the confrontation that ended with an SUV driver being badly beaten — as sources said another cyclist hurt in the mayhem may be paralyzed for life, sources told the New York Post Tuesday.

I tried to determine the race of the bikers from the helmet video I saw early on and it seemed from what I could see that it was pretty mixed. Hien is of Vietnamese heritage.
No, Tennessee. There's still SOME sanity left here. Of course, we don't have gangs of off-duty cops and jailers out on the road harassing people in SUVs either. At least none that I've heard of yet.

According to police and Massachusetts motor vehicle records, Mieses hasn’t had a valid license or permit to drive in the state since 1999. He also never applied for a motorcycle license.
It isn’t clear if he had been licensed in any other state. He was arrested most recently on May 24 in Andover, Mass., and has had dozens of other violations.
Since 1999, he has been ticketed by police 16 times: In Lawrence, Methuen, Roxbury, Andover, and New Hampshire, according to registry records and the Boston Globe.
Records show that the Registry notified the National Driver Register in June that Mieses was a habitual traffic offender whose right to drive in Massachusetts was revoked until 2017.
If they were on duty at the time that *might* be true.If not I don't see how that can be the case.But if the paralyzed punk gets an OJ type jury (very possible in NYC) then it might not natter.knowing what I know of this case (which,admittedly,isn't much) I'd be hard pressed to find in favor of the paralyzed punk.
I was in a truck stop long ago with the driver who had picked me up (riding my thumb) when a group of 20 or so motorcycles drove up and the riders came inside. My driver commented that wow here was a Hell’s Angels gang. I noted that the bikes were all big Kaws and Wings and that the “colors” all looked to have just come from the dry cleaner. I told the driver that no, these were police. Then I saw one of them from the back and his club name was visible- “Blue Knights.”
One positive result is the guy will have to ride in a sidecar from now on.
I thought cops were always “on duty” .... reason they can always carry.

I’ve watched it several times. Most of the bare arms I see are definitely black. There is one white woman on the back of a bike, and one rider with arms that don’t look black...but the rest looked black to me.

Anyway, the main actors so far have not been white.
