..."Get back to work(first thing tomorrow)".
I will never “retire”.
Thank you.
t1b8zs, meet UnwashedPeasant. He lives in his mother's basement just like you do.
THANK YOU,SALUTE
Every penny of your salary and every penny of the retirement check you are already collecting and every penny of the second retirement you ar banking on has to earned by some poor schlunk on the economy, do you get that?
Just don’t Barry-Cade the ocean Bad enough that the leader has lost it.:Don’t follow his neurosis!
I generally enjoy your posts. However, your #45 seems so far out of character that one might think your computer has been compromised. But then, the legal profession does tend to be disproportionately leftist.
Do you have an opinion as to where all the "poor schlunks" would be but for a military made strong by its career professionals?
Hey bud, why not lighten up..We all understand Veterans who are also in DOD jobs get paid — in fact, thats the one job we kind of care to have done by the Federal gov.
Anyone of us could have made the sacrifices necessary to serve the nation in peace time and in peril and earn the same thing. Military life is a lot tougher than mine.
I was at Keesler for 2 different tech schools. The first time I was there, they were flying T-28s. I think it was the Royal Laotian Air Force.

How many times have you been gone oh, say 350 days a year, unreachable by phone and sometimes (if you’re lucky) getting a chance to send email? Have you been shot at or had to drive down a road that could be littered with IEDs?
What about during WWII, where would our country be today without the military?
Very few people that have served our country, unless they are Generals or very long serving Colonels can afford to retire on their retirement pay that so many worry about.
You should be glad these people with military service are working as civilians supporting our military. At least the military members can rest somewhat easy, knowing that someone who has served their country 20 years plus has the experience to do what needs to be done and also that most that have done that type of service have their backs.
You might want to re-read my comment, I think you completely misunderstood the target of my humor. And it wasn’t that complicated.
Rather than respond to a snide comment in like terms, you educated the ignorant. Good for you. (He’s probably a closet liberal, anyway. You know how sarcastic and rude they are.)
I resent double dippers, I don’t mind the military one bit however.
“FRANKLY, This is NONE of YOUR Damn Business!”
Damned straight!
Besides, you worked under their conditions for their pay and earned that/those pension(s). It isn’t an exclusive club. If she wants a pension like you have earned she can go do it.
I’m more worried that we’re preparing to invade America.
Wow, you're certainly all over the place. Retired Navy, moved home to Iowa in 2008 and now working at an air force base in Nebraska......LOL!
How's the bird hunting there?

OK, then pay him what his civilian counterparts earned the entire time he was in the service. When he was a radar technician in the military 30 years ago and was an E-3 making $7,000 a year, you owe him another $50,000 per year that his civilian counterpart was earning. And when he was a Commander making $52,000 in the mid 1990’s, you owe him another $125,000 his civilian counterpart was earning. You want fair, then you gotta put your money where your mouth is.
We taxpayers get cheap labor all in the name of giving pensions later, and most of those pensions won’t cover their losses over the years even then.
Good, I guess. I haven’t been hunting in over 10 years.
“I resent double dippers, I dont mind the military one bit however.”
No such thing. No one gets paid two pensions for the same job. Go ahead and tell us who gets two pensions for the same job. Go ahead, we’ll wait.
” moved home to Iowa in 2008 and now working at an air force base in Nebraska.” AND I “get” the “privilege” of paying 2 States’ Income Taxes(IA AND NE).
