Good. Maybe my son can get back to repairing submarines. You never know when we might need one.

AP Reporter Josh Lederman seems to be the source.

If they’re going to pay them anyway, I don’t see why they were furloughed in the first place.

Why not? The House just forced us to pay them even if not working.

The House just forced them....

And the US Senate, did it and the Pres agree to paying the workers but won't agree to save young cancer victims?

How's that a "lose" for the 'pubs?

I’m wondering how long that will last due to this wording in the article you linked to (thanks for the link). Seems to me if this was the case, there shouldn’t have been furloughs in the first place or am I misinterpreting what I read?
-———Clipped from linked story:

The decision by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is based on a Pentagon legal interpretation of a law called the Pay Our Military Act.

That measure was passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama shortly before the partial government shutdown began Tuesday.

The Pentagon did not immediately say on Saturday exactly how many workers will return to work. The Defense Department said “most” were being brought back.

“If they’re going to pay them anyway, I don’t see why they were furloughed in the first place.”

With Obama, it’s all about perception.

The low information voter only knew from the MSM that non essential personnel is “out of work”.

Try that in the real work world of the private sector..

Did ya know there are now more unionized government employees than exist in today's private sector America?

The decision by Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is based on a Pentagon legal interpretation of a law called the Pay Our Military Act.

They've been being called on it for the last few days. The Rs have been arguing this point that Obama/Hagel can make the determination to put them back to work.

RE :”'s that a “lose” for the ‘pubs? “

House throwing our money away paying for government employees to be off instead of work? ( we must work for ours)

Don't they get eight weeks vacation paid by us without this?
Why do they need this freebee too?
How is this justified to run up more deficits for this handout?

And these GSs don't even have to sign up for Obamacare either.

Not a win, a sign of weakness and losing. Its a cave,

Half of those cancer patients are going to be given a placebo. These are trials , and a few days delayed is not going to change a thing. Do we even know who is conducting the trial's? Could be Big Pharma....
