And this isn't the only example. Republicans rarely seem to have the guts to respond to the continual onslaught of Democrat lies, and perhaps that's because those lies are repeated and endorsed by the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms. Which is another issue: Why are do many Republicans still run like scared bunny rabbits from the Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms like they did 20 years ago when those newsrooms had a monopoly on the selection, dissemination, and spin of the daily news? Its 2013! Those newsrooms are dying, and most people now get their news from other sources.
If there was one thing that bugged me more than anything else about Bush's eight years, it was that he let himself be used as a punching bag, never responding. Even Rove has admitted that was a mistake.
