Yes, but while such cancer is horrifying, it is not entertaining or enjoyable.

So did I
It’s one of the few times seeing Lovecraft on TV won’t give me nightmares.
Not a fan of gore and horror. I do like a good Hitchcock film, or a good old murder mystery on TV, ( i loved watching Columbo and Ellery Queen as a kid), but movies that are just slasher films and what not aren’t my thing.
When I was a kid I was scared to death by the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz. I feel bad for kids today, the movies seem much scarier.
They already aired that?
This Sunday.
It’s just the first three minutes.
That’s the neat part, you don’t have to have a movie with gore, and the definition of horror is flexible.
For example, the classic monster movies, like Frankenstein, The Boris Karloff Mummy, the Wolf Man, and for an interesting twist, the Mexican version of Dracula was filmed at night during the shooting of the English version, using the same script (and some say the acting was better.)
The entire Godzilla, et al. genre are monster movies, but are inoffensive, as are many of the 1950s movies, like Them.
And there are a whole bunch of not particularly good horror movies that were made fun of by the Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys.
Not scarier just more shocking. Scary Is a mental thing having to do with surprise and the realization that this bad thing could happen to me. Hitchcock movies like "Witness for the Prosecution" were excellent.
