Why not go all the way and have the sign say:
“This park CLOSED because of women-and-children-hating TEA BAGGERS and REPUBLICANS”

Yes, and also evidently plenty of advance time. Gives one pause that 'they' wanted a 'SHUTDOWN' (their CAPS..not mine) to redirect/blame/corruption/treason/accusation the government closure on the Republicans.

My wife have visited the World War Two Memorial. It’s beautiful. Her late father served in the 4th. Marine Division. He survived Saipan(wounded), Tinian, and Iwo Jima(wounded again.)
