Thank you, Sweet Meg!
I'm just Beginning, and have a Long Way to Go, but I'll Take it just One Step at a Time.

GI Sounds Like a Pretty Kitty! She's So Shy and Timid, she Must have had a Rough Time since she was Weaned.
She will be Surrounded by Love Now, though, in her New Family, so Hopefully she will be More at Ease Soon.

"We celebrated 54 years of marriage in February and the older we get, the more we blend into one. Hubby and I are starting to look alike!"

What scares me is when my wife looks at me, and then says, "Hmm. I think I need a haircut."

I’m doing fine...I guess. I’m trussed like a chicken and my
arm is in quite a lot of pain. I’ll be glad to get PT started
so I can really begin to heal!

Thank you for asking, Amy. It’s been 4 months since the accident
that made all of this necessary. Ugh!

Thanks for asking, Megs! It was outpatient surgery, so I was home same day. It’s pretty painful right now, of course.

Thank you for the hugs and the wonderful prayers, Megs.

Someone at the hospital said it was one of the worst operations
for healing...and the therapy. Ugh!

Loving And Knowing
October 25, 2013

In a novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, one of the characters, speaking of New York’s Empire State Building, said, “I know this building because I love this building.”

That statement caused me to think about the relationship between love and knowledge. Whenever we love something, we want to know everything about it. When we love a place, we want to explore every inch of it. When we love a person, we want to know every detail of his or her life. We want to know what he likes, how she spends her time, where he grew up, who her friends are, what he believes. The list is endless. But some of us want to be loved without allowing ourselves to be known. We’re afraid that we won’t be loved if we are truly known.

We don’t have to worry about that with God. His love is far superior to ours: “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8). Furthermore, He makes Himself known to us. Through creation, Scripture, and Christ, God reveals His character and His love. Because God loves us in spite of our imperfections, we can safely confess our faults to Him. With God, we need not fear being known. That’s why to know God is to love Him.

Be still and know that He is God
For pathways steep and rough,
Not what He brings, but what He is
Will always be enough. —Anon.
There is no greater joy than to know that God loves us.

Read: Romans 5:6-11

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. —Romans 5:8

What a blessed word...
“there is no greater joy than to know God loves us.”
Good Morning Mayor, and thank you for daily sending these great gems.

We are to be ... coming into the image of Jesus Christ.
As the Holy Spirit fills us and teaches us as we grow.
We are to know God and learn His Word.
God had/has a plan for the world and it will be what it is God intends for the world. It has taken quite a time for true believers to number enough to fill the earth. It may take millenniums more. Man is very in to self will. We are to desire the will of God in our life daily.

Forgive us Father, for our sins, pride, self will, we do not know what it is we do... LORD we pray for the peace and protection of Israel, Jerusalem, the lost, the captives, the broken hearted, the persecuted believers, and the restoration of America to our former faith and values in Thee. Thank you, for Thy love, grace, mercy, goodness, kindness, and the blessings showered on Thy children moment to moment, in Jesus name amen.

Marissa said the GI let her pet her last night. At first she jumped but when she came back to eat, she let Marissa pet her. When I fed her this morning, she ran to meet me and didn’t back away while I put her food down. She is getting there.

She is mostly grey with very little white under her chin. The grey goes from dark to lighter grey. I wish I knew where she came from. She is lucky that a coyote didn’t have her for breakfast.
