I had to go to several Wal-Marts this weekend, at everyone one of them near the TV dept. there was a guy from Direct TV, they asked my about my current providser, I told them I only use the Internet because I used to have Direct TV but I don’t have it anymore because they refuse to carry the Blaze, but carry “Al Jazz-ear-a”.

I had to wonder how much they have heard that!

Senator,

This voter does not believe you are doing enough. I believe you are going along and voting for expediency to get along. I started to give up on our country a while back. I quit writing the letters and making the phone calls. Senator Cruz has inspired me to get back engaged and try to wrestle control of our nation back out of the hands of an all powerful central, federal government. The states are now almost powerless against the Ruling Class. Sir, are you part of the Ruling class today?

I expect more effort. Get in front of a camera and explain how passionate you are about the states taking back control of this country on behalf of it’s citizens. Support the Tea Party conservative movement. Get back to the Constitutional intent regarding the governance of this nation.

If you are not up for the effort that is now required because of age, complacency, ideology or any other reason, please resign. We REALLY need some leaders. McConnell and Boehner are failing. Some are really stepping up and putting their necks out there on behalf of our great citizenry. You are not among them yet. Pick it up or move aside, please. What is your aggressive plan to stop Obamacare? If your answer is “hope that more republicans get elected,” you need to move on to another career. Republican voters and Tea Party supporters are looking for leaders to vote for. We need some passionate constitutionalists to save us from freedoms degradation at the hands of liberal ideology.

My children are 11 and 6. My family is making 30% less income from 5 years ago. Nothing is happening today that will change this direction as free enterprise, capitalism and individual freedoms have been quashed by this gorilla of a government. We are Europe. And you are not doing enough to fight this.

Thank you for your time. I have a renewed passion and love for this nation. You need to get one too. Do something inspiring.

Sincerely,

If he calls back, fill his ear a tad.

Obama’s phone call to the Iranian talking head is just another distraction to keep Congress from defunding Obamacare.

As usual, the 24/7 Media falls for it hook-line-and-sinker.

On the list of future distractions from defunding Obamacare are meetings with various Heads of State in DC and China.

Obama has found it very easy to advance his narrow ideological agenda of failure-prone Marxism.

4 years after Obama conned his Democrats into passing the Federal takeover of the cash cow of Medical Insurance, the PC, Doormat Republicans are finally timidly suggesting defunding that Federal takeover.

Without the weak, PC, Doormat Republicans Boehner and McConnell being stupidly kept in their respective leadership positions by truly cowardly House and Senate Members, Obama Medical Insurance “Care” Takeover would have been defunded long ago.

The primal yearning of the 47 % who pay no personal Federal Income tax is to belong to a tribe where all of their choices are dictated to them by their arrogant tribal leader.

This a common trait of those who have low self-esteem.

In that sense, Obamanation is truly a cult: low self-esteem people believing everything their cult leader tells them, no questions asked.

Freedom is defined in the dictionary as follows:
1.) Exemption or liberation from slavery or imprisonment.
3.) Liberty of choice or action.

Most of the 47 % riding in the “free” wagon seek out slavery, and lack of personal choice.

They thus feel safe, and secure in the knowledge that “this is as bad as it is going to get.”

Liberty is defined in the dictionary as follows:
1.) The state of being exempt from the domination of others or from restricting circumstances; freedom.
5.) The power of voluntary choice: freedom from necessity.
6.) Individual Liberty: Freedom from restraint in the performance of rights outside of government control.

Most people who are getting a free ride in the wagon where 47 % pay no personal Federal Income Taxes, are terrified of making a voluntary choice.

The 47 % would prefer that they be under government control where the choices are made for him.

All of this societal wussiness has made it very easy for B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, to advance his narrow ideological agenda of European-style, failure-prone, Marxism in spite of PC, Doormat Republican token “opposition.”

BTW, unlike taxes, Federal Obama ‘care’ Insurance charges can be increased EVERY YEAR to whatever % the present and future arrogant leaders of Obamanation wants.

BTW, BTW, the free-loading 47 % will always vote for the Candidate for POTUS approved by Obamanation.
_________________________________

The question to be asked is: “If it is in the Nation’s best interest to shut down the Government, then why are there only TWO Federal Politicians, Obama and Reid, loudly advocating shutting down the US Federal Government?

Obama has MANY reasons to shutdown the Federal Government such as:

1.) A headline grabbing story that will distract attention from the Impeachable scandals of:

Benghazi Massacre Dereliction of Duty by Obama as CIC;
Obamacare Insurance managed by the corrupt IRS;
IRS harassment of political opponents of Obama;
Use of the NSA by Obama to spy on everybody in the USA;
etc, etc.

2.) The use of fear of a shutdown might help to protect defunding and eventual abolishment of Obama’s narrowly focused ideological agenda of an European-style, failure-prone, Marxist, monopoly of the US Medical Insurance Industry.

3.) Spreading fear and blame might also preserve Obama’s power to increase Obamacare Insurance premiums on an annual basis.

*This would be highly advantageous to Obama as the increase in mandatory insurance premiums would not be a tax, as the “unexpected market conditions” would be given as the reason for the increase.

*Also there would be no need to ask for the “Advice and Consent” of Congress, as the IRS would be in complete control of all income and medical records.

4.) The last reason is the most important for Obama, personally: America would at last no longer be a Nation where the Liberty to choose one’s own family destiny could ever exist again.

As for Reid, the best guess I have is that he wants a Government Monopoly of the Medical Insurance Industry. Well, to be fair, Reid calls for a “single payer” system.

My suspician is that multi-millionaire Reid, nearing Federal retirement, owns a lot of stock in some companies that are tied to a “single payer” system.

Maybe the NSA, or the IRS can find out for us?

I’m going to ask my US Senator from TEXAS, The Esteemed Senator John “To Hell with my voters” Cornyn to check on this for me - - - .

I’ve posted this a number of times and do so again inasmuch as THIS is a constantly recurring problem and some may not grasp how widespread it is.

If you want to know why I’ve cautioned my many friends to NOT SEND THE RNC A NICKLE, READ ON.

Over the years – when, to steal a line from Billy Joel, I wore a younger man’s clothes – I was involved with several pretty solid conservative candidates for Congress. One was a Democrat (Lawrence Patton McDonald) – because that was the only way he could win in that district. Those old-timers who know Larry’s record will tell you that he was a solid an anti-communist America Firster and more Republican than the Pubbies in nearby districts at the time. (His mother’s cousin was General George Patton from whom he got the middle name – and his incredible resolve and love of this country.) How ironic that he, like General Patton, was also assassinated by the communists they both despised.

Those other candidates ran as Republicans. Because I was a rabid Bircher back then (still am philosophically!), those candidates had to pass my rigid litmus test or I went looking for someone who did. For that reason, I hooked up with what the TRADITIONAL country club Pubbie establishment types believed were too radical for their refined tastes.

As those campaigns began to unfold and it became clear to the country clubbers that these guys 1) had a shot and 2) were pretty independent thinkers who would be hard to keep on the reservation once they got sworn in, the local Pubbies communicated that information to the Republican National HQ types who rather quickly sent in campaign “professionals” ostensibly to lock up the impending victory.

Instead, in nearly every case to which I was privy, these “professionals” proceeded to TORPEDO our guy’s campaign in subtle but effective ways.

From that experience I can tell you that the Pubbies at the HQ in D.C. would rather have a Democrat win a given district than have a pubbie up there who would embarrass them by refusing to follow the party line.

If YOU become involved in campaigns for solidly conservative, America and Constitution loving, hard-nosed, independent thinking candidates in 2012 and beyond – and I pray many of you do — please DO NOT trust any of those folks from GOP HQ in Washington. If they want to send you no-strings cash for your campaign, take it. If, however, they “suggest” sending in one of their “professionals,” tell them to fuggetaboutit.

They ARE WHO GOT US INTO THIS MESS AND THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS!!!!

“The common and continual mischief of the spirit of Party is
sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to
discourage and restrain it.” G. Washington

(BTW, My genealogical research informs me that my 5th great-grandfather, one John Carpenter, was one of George Washington’s Virginia neighbors and fought with GW in the French and Indian War and the Revolution. Prior to that, John traveled with GW during his survey of the Northwest Territories.)

Good on ya.

I'm looking forward to my phone call.

I'll use my standard line. I'll tell them I will send a thousand dollars but that will be over ten years and they will have to send me two thousand dollars first.

In other words, I'll make the same deal with them that they make with Obama.

I just called the ever affable nit-wit Al Franken's (D-MN) office. Some poor liberal arts political science major from Georgetown answered, I'm assuming one of his many (or perhaps few if he's that unlucky) assistants. He listened intently but was very careful not to voice any opposition or provide any counterarguments. It was as if he had never received a call concerning the Senate's little "recess" they had during the weekend, and instead was dumbfounded that someone was calling his senator about something "that insignificant."

Or, conversely, and far more probable, he has received hundreds, and in an effort to trivialize the outrage instead acts as though he's received very little. I feel as though the latter is far more likely.

I got a call -- the guy said he had only 3 questions. I said, "Fine".

Five questions later, I said, "This is taking too long."
He said, "I only have 2 more questions."

I said, "You're a dirty liar" and hung up.

Did you notice that your list of Senators with phone numbers doesn’t include Ted Cruz - I used the list to call Mike Lee’s office to thank him for his good work during the filibuster. Was going to call Cruz, but no number.

Also got off the phone with Klobuchar's (D-MN) office. The conversation follows:

Liberal Arts Intern: Thank you for calling Senator Klobuchar's office, how may I help you?
Me: Hi. Is the Senator in?
Liberal Arts Intern: (pause) Ah, she is, but she is currently in a meeting.
Me: Great. Can you pass a message onto the Senator for me, please, from a Stearns County voter?
Liberal Arts Intern: Sure!
Me: The Affordable Care Act is unaffordable. Do you understand?
Intern: ...Okay! Great! I can pass that on!
Me: Great. Bye.

...Bleeegghhhhh.

Good post and good tagline. Along the same lines: Ignorant people are gullible people. This is why so many fall for the ludicrous global warming hoax.

I give the RNC an earful everytime they dare to call here. They don't do it much anymore.

Other than St. Cloud, Cold Spring and even lil' Melrose being overrun with Somalians, Stearns is still leaning conservative, isn't it?

I hope so, 'cause that's where we're gonna be buried there someday...and I don't relish the thought of rolling over in the permafrost.

I just moved to OKC. When I registered to vote, I registered as nothing. I know what that means for the primaries in OK.

Over the past year, more people have registered as “no party” than Republican and the Dems have a negative registration number.

I’ve been told that to make a difference I have to register Republican and vote in the primary. The majority of people moving here or who are registering for the first time aren’t buying it anymore.

The Republocrats have too much power and the people have little.

"Other than St. Cloud, Cold Spring and even lil' Melrose being overrun with Somalians, Stearns is still leaning conservative, isn't it?"

Yep, thankfully. By a pretty wide margin (8 percentage points or more) since 2000, too. That's even with Saint Cloud State University right here, as well. Needless to say, I cannot wait to leave. This town is not what it used to be. It's nowhere NEAR what it was when I growing up.

"I hope so, 'cause that's where we're gonna be buried there someday...and I don't relish the thought of rolling over in the permafrost."

You should be okay. Stearns will hang on for quite some time, still...I think.
