Well, they’re 4.5 point favorites in tonight’s game.

STL could have pulled Wainwright after 3 with a 7-0 lead and gone with Wainwright in game 4 and Lynn in game 5 ... skipping Miller. No creativity.

Maybe the difference between the 4 STL starters is inconsequential ... Lynn better than Miller?

I like your way of thinking...
I told my Grandson when it was 3-0 that Burnett should have been pulled after the walk and HBP...he wasn’t getting anywhere near the plate ... pull him today and you MAY have him fresh for game 4/5 or in the Pen if you need him.

I likewise agree that (unless they are ‘worried’ about him getting the win) Wainright should have went after 4 or - if the win important contract wise? - 5 at the most, for the same reasoning, available for 4/5 or pen....

they aren’t concerned about the win ... just don’t want to get embarrassed if PITT comes back to win the game after Wainwright is pulled ... the manager would never hear the end of it.

Burnett was left out there forever. 8 straight reached safely. UNBELIEVABLE.

WWLD? What would LaRussa do?

Braves even more important ... could scratch Freddy Garcia if the pull Medlen early. Depends on how he is pitching.

Do they want to scratch Freddy Garcia in game 4 and give Minor the game 5 start?

“STL could have pulled Wainwright...”

Agreed.

I’m flipping between the Bruins and MLB.

“T” would have done what he thought was best for the team at the time and ‘mooned’ the dissenters.

Remember back in the ‘old days’ pitchers got bonuses for IP, K’s, W, Playoff Wins, etc...

First I have seen this Puig— impressive but seems a ‘little out of control’... but he is ‘exciting’....had seen that slide into home for the HR ... ‘they’ would have crucified Bryce Harper for such a stunt...

Surprised ‘they’ had the gonads to have Uggla not on the roster...benching Upton not that big a deal, surprised both of them played down the stretch as much as they did.
Guess that is the ‘reward’ when you have a large lead...

Not really a Braves fan...was old Brooklyn Dodger fan so....
Now, I pull for the Nationals -cause they are close and my Grandson is a Cards fan, so I ‘keep track’ of them..

Don’t like the Braves because of T Turner & notsofondaJane, and that ‘chant’ and ‘Tomahawk Chop’ drive me up the wall especially when the ‘Queen Byatch’ used to do it...PC for what seems ‘right’ for themselves only-what else is new?.

Medlen ... 74 pitches ... what do they do with him now? He’s useless until game 5 and do they go with him over Minor? Doesn’t seem like a good choice.

Poor poor performance. They needed to pull him for the pinch hitter after 3 inn. 23 batters ... 11 reached safely.

So far these games are boring blowouts.

B’s win 3-1.

124 pitches for kershaw ... Goes again in game 5 on WED. Extra rest.

I was surprised they didn’t pull him with runner on 2nd. Figured they didn’t cause maybe not many plans for him?

First I heard (or first it registered) that Uggla had laser surgery this year....

Still like the announcer said (CR Jr??) If you need one run chances are much better with Uggla than Johnson..

Not an Uggla fan and nothing lasts FOREVER but I think this is a ‘cheap shot’ - unless they had been trying to get him to ‘retire’ or go IR... still no way to end career, maybe went 1 year to far....

That f’n beard of Wilsons still looks like it is painted on and touched up with shoe polish.....

Rusty Baker is out in CIN.

That f’n beard of Wilsons: I’ve always thought it was fake and, yes, 100% fake or real, it’s got shoe polish on it. Gay.

Did not know that about Uggla; agree that’s cheap to kick him while he’s down.

Heard that about Baker...

Maybe Washington will go after him.

They have some GREAT YOUNG ARMS he can proceed to overwork and ruin....

Guess you can’t blame him entirely, there is normally a GM, don’t know if he was both in Chi or not but I certainly can ‘blame’ him for Kerry Wood and Mark Pryor....
And that is the ones we ‘know’ about...

At least no one sought him out for his opinion of the Steven Strasburg debacle last year...Or if they did were gracious enough to NOT print it...<: <: <:

I think Rusty Dusty is done in the dugout; he’ll get some makeshift job in the MLB Commissioner’s office.

He’s had three stints as a manager. Throw in his reputation of burning out arms and he’s done.

They let Kershaw stay an inning too long and that is not good for your #1 guy.

Brian Hoyer to IR, torn ACL.

Good move, it’s been nothing but post-season disappointment for the Reds under Dusty.

Hoyer’s year is over on account of a punk like Kiko Alonso. Disgusting.

That was a good game, too bad Brian Hoyer got hurt.

Today was a particularly litigious day in the MLB world:
