Some people are just DUMB like that.
Their fear combined with their arrogance assumes that it is THEY who are the focus.
it would never occur to such people to EXAMINE what might be going on adjacent to their exalted location...in any given environment..

They told her a proposal was happening behind her, but she wanted to watch the game and the photographer was in the way. Not everybody feels like being caught up in somebody else’s moment. And some folks just like spreading the bah humbug.
You're right. Mr Proposal should have realized that there was an MLB game going on. Further, there were people who paid good money to WATCH THE GAME.
