Because they’re in my way. Because they’re being noisy. Because when you make a spectacle of yourself doing private stuff out in public you should expect the unexpected. And most importantly, why not.

and why not? How about because it's crude and vulgar? Generally folks who were raised right by their mothers try to avoid being crude and vulgar in public.

Generally people who were raised right don’t get waste the time and money of a bunch of people in a location for a particular reason by getting them all involved in their private business. They were holding up the works so long somebody got security so they could get back to their seat. They got in everybody else’s way and now are surprised that at least one of them found the proceedings and them annoying.
