I stopped shopping on Black Friday some years ago. Much more convenient to shop online any other time, especially with free shipping. Then about 5 years ago, I went with gift cards. Let the recipient pick out the gift. Last year, the family and I agreed to do away with gifts altogether. I'm on disability, and everyone else is facing uncertain economic times. This is one expense we don't need.
I used to go to Black Friday when the kids were small and if I wasn't working....little kids are easy to shop for.....
we seem to get a little "something" for everybody even though as adults, my family and extended family gave that up years ago....
