College students who major in physical sciences tend to be smarter than those who major in psychology, judging from the 2013 SAT Report on College & Career Readiness from the College Board.
The report includes data on SAT scores by intended major for the college-bound class of 2013. We've taken the liberty of ranking majors based on these scores, which are the best commonly available proxy for intelligence.

I guess journalists didn’t score high enough to even make the list.
All I know is my son is working on his second year of college level Calculus and it was greek to me.
Feels good to have kids smarter then you.
They are grouped with “Communications” and in the combined list come below Preachers, Park Rangers & Lawyers.
For those who scored higher than some of these 3 part combined totals when there were just two, take a bow.
So much for my reading skills.
Two flaws I perceive. I am sure there are others — Interdisciplinary should be broken down into specific areas. And religion and philosophy should be separated. I definitely know this from my college experience.

“Multi/Interdisciplinary” would include things like “double major in math and physics,” or a pre-med curriculum with a full set of chemistry and biology requirements.
I pulled a 1340 on my SAT back in the day when there were only verbal and math sections. My scores on the two sections were 660 and 680, respectively.
The closer a country/state is to Mexico, the lower it scores, curiously.
I presume African-American Transgender Studies is lumped into liberal arts?

You are correct.
In a previous studies Philosophy majors combined SAT scores were second only to those of Physics majors.
I wonder,also; if under “Religious Studies” they are including students in small private Bible Colleges taking religiously oriented courses.
Two generations ago when my sister entered the convent after high school, she was told that she was going to be a math major, as she started her college studies. In that religious order of educators, the highest SAT of the incoming group of girls became a math major, second highest a Chemistry major...
