And if he gets his waiver? ObamaCare is great? We got ours, to hell with everyone else? Just asking out loud.

As soon as it is funded for another year, obama will grant the unions waivers. Where he gets this power is beyond me. That’s what conservatives should be screaming about.

That’s what Cruz did a good job of talking about in the filibuster - saying that if you don’t have the money to hire a lobbyist or get invited to the White House you’re fresh outta luck. The “little people” that Obamacare was supposedly created to help are the ones stuck paying the tab for the rich, influential people who were able to phenangle a waiver - including Congress.

The thing that stood out to me was the constant message: make DC listen. So many stories were read, all of them reflecting a world of hurt, and the cold critters just shrug their shoulders and say too bad, we’re looking out for number one. In a city where the love of most really has gone cold, Cruz and his friends lit one small candle - hearts that were ready to listen and care about somebody besides number one. A profound thing, really.

Cantor and Boehner (and apparently McCain, McConnell, Cornyn, Ayotte, etc, possibly including both of my NE senators) are ready to throw those “little people” under the bus and let them suffer, for the chance to say, “It’s the Senate dems’ fault”. But those humble servants who stayed awake on the Senate floor last night did so for love of the “little people” and their hopes and dreams. Lonely little petunias in an onion patch...
