No, I agree with you about that. I ordinarily consider it stupid to correct an otherwise comprehensible post with minor grammatical errors or spelling mistakes.
But there are three exceptions
- When it's somebody's blog or published material. I mean, seriously. Come on! Especially a professional writer.
- When the person himself has opened this can of worms by correcting someone else, he becomes fair game and
- Use of "I could care less." That one, which means EXACTLY the opposite of the correct idiom "I couldn't care less," just drives me (no NOT literally) insane with grammar-rage.
