So sorry to hear. My parents gave the four siblings a safe, loving, stable family in which to grow, despite both of them being raised in poor, single parent households during the Great Depression. My father, WWII combat vet & career Army officer, was a gentle man (2 words). My stay-at-home mom was the first sergeant and the engine & heartbeat of the family. I bless their memories b/c I had something too few children have today.

My parents had their own issues and instead of dealing with them they took it out on us. It was what is was and was passed down from generation to generation.
I do get very wistful though when I see such a wonderful parent like the one in the video. If only.....
Glad you had a wonderful experience in your childhood. Cherish it and pass it on to the next generation, especially those wee ones not so fortunate today.
