Snipped title: Fed-Up NY Man Sets Up Hidden Camera to Find Out Who Was Repeatedly Stealing His Pro-Gun Sign What He Discovered Blew Him Away
(Excerpt) Read more at theblaze.com ...
When he learned that his sign had been taken yet again, he was elated because he knew he had finally caught the person responsible on camera.
He just didnt expect that person to be a uniformed police officer.
Busted, that cop is screwed. Trespassing and multiple thefts.
What a jackass. I hope this guy loses his job, his pension, and everything he has.
“To harass and steal”
Maybe this is the case:
**As the man who posted the photos points out: this is my property, although i have to find out if the town claims any rights to property on the edge of the road as this was about 4-5′ in from the edge of the roadway. He also admitted that he was instructed to remove the sign once by the towns building inspector, though he claims he ultimately was told he could leave it up.**
If accurate, this is one officer who should end his days working behind the counter in a donut shop, but I bet the PD will stonewall and drag out any investigation until people forget and lose interest. The citizen will also probably get a lot of extra attention from the PD, zoning and anything else that can be used to retaliate.
Which begs the question, what is more important to this and like minded individuals, the Constitution which they may also took and oath to uphold, or orders from a potentate and keeping their pension....
That property owner will have everything from IRS swat teams to armed librarians descend on him, in addition to swarms of Trayvons.
He’ll be lucky to live.
No way, he will be prosecuted. I bet lawyers are lining up to take this case.
This is blatant violation of 1st, and 2nd amendment rights.
Anyways, find out the property line, and move it back, right behind your line. Move camera, this time camouflage it and when the fatass bully cop comes onto your property to steal from you SUE SUE SUE.
Cop will justify it with some remote ordinance about small road signs within 5’ of plant life or something like that..
If the building inspector said to remove the sign, I would ask him/her for the ordinance which prohibits ANY signs.
Then, I would ask the city to provide the ordinance that also prohibits such signs.
There has to be something in writing to support either the 2nd Amendment supporter or the city, it can’t be both ways.
Every town allows for signage at the roadside. Most limit the size of the sign but I've never heard of one that doesn't allow them. How else would you be able to put up a candidate's sign?
He just didnt expect that person to be a uniformed police officer.
...their special, granted special privileges to spend money, tax payer money...and any other money they got through extortion, bribes, and back room deals to push their existence....*smiles*....don't shine the light with questions...
Bump.
Despite being caught on camera in an unguarded moment, I'd still believe this cop giving testimony on the stand. I'd trust to his sense of fairness and impartiality. I'd automatically assume his oaths meant something to him. I'd cut him slack because of his sense of professionalism. His tact, his courtesy, his intelligence, his commitment to individual freedoms... all attested to and implicitly believed in by yours truly.
Or not.

Excellent! Thanks Tai.
If the property owner has a dog, I’d keep it locked up in the house...not that that is a perfect prevention. ;(
“this is one officer who should end his days working behind the counter in a donut shop”
More like ending his day crawling into a cardboard box
under a freeway overpass with a 1/4 bottle of MD 20/20.
This is a totally worthless human being.
