The speed enhancement depends on what you are measuring. The flash memory in the tablet should smoke most platter spinning hard drives, which are still about “95%” of he hard drives out there.

I recently built a new system and put the OS (Win-7) on a 256 Gig SSD. It boots in 10-15 seconds. I only have the OS and installed programs on the SSD and put all data, pictures etc on other drives. So far I like it a lot.
